THIS SUPPORT INCLUDES SUPPLEMENTING THE OVERALL SCHOOL BUDGET TO ALLOW FOR THE HIRING ADDITIONAL TEACHERS, GUIDANCE COUNSELORS AND SUPPORT PERSONNEL. IN ADDITION, THE FUNDS ART AND SCIENCE SUPPLIES, BOOKS FOR THE LIBRARY, PLANNERS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR ALL STUDENTS, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT FOR OUR COMPUTER AND SCIENCE LABS. To provide community awareness, funding and support for the education of Dalit Children in rural Southern India. Help Kids India supports the work of the Betsy Elizabeth Trust (BET), an Indian non-profit organization. HKI funds three BET preschools serving a total of 170 children who live in poverty, most of whom are Dalit (Untouchable). HKI funds pay all school operating expenses, including salaries for twenty-seven staff.
